Zika first confirmed cases in the country These six cases were recently reported in Pedro Juan Caballero. Authorities of the Ministry of Public Health announced minutes ago at a press conference the presence of Zika virus in the country.

These six cases in Pedro Juan Caballero, most of those affected are young adults. The MoH I urges the public to do an immediate consultation to prevent complications and spread of the virus. The cases were confirmed on Friday (November 27, 2015) morning by Central laboratory. The Deputy Minister of Public Health said the screening was done after the verification of an exponential increase in fevers in the past four weeks in the said town of Amambay.
